About eggsbay

eggsbay.co.uk is written and run by the team behind Broody, a UK marketplace for hatching eggs. It is not affiliated with eBay.

Who runs eggsbay

We are the team behind Broody, a marketplace where UK breeders sell hatching eggs. We opened it in July 2026, after eBay UK stopped allowing hatching eggs on 20 March 2025.

eggsbay is where we explain what happened on eBay, set out the places that sell hatching eggs now, and describe popular breeds to hatch. Every page leads to Broody, because we would like you to buy your eggs there.

That makes us one of the places this site writes about. Where a page compares Broody with other services, the comparison is our own, so we give you the means to check it: the facts we give about another service come from that service's own published pages, or from a report the page names, and each page lists its sources and the date it was last updated.

How the facts are checked

The page about eBay quotes eBay UK's own policy and links to it, along with the government guidance it mentions. The comparison of places to buy uses each service's own website: its fees, its terms and its help pages.

In the breed book, every figure and claim was checked against a page we could open and read, and each entry lists the pages it was checked against. Where sources disagree, the entry says so.

The pictures

The plates in the breed book are illustrations, not photographs. We made them with an AI image generator and checked each one against the breed's description.

The "Listing ended" card at the top of the home page is a mock-up we drew, not a real eBay listing. The clutch for sale further down that page is a real listing on Broody, as it looked on 2 October 2026.

What eggsbay keeps about you

eggsbay has no accounts, no forms and no adverts, and it sets no cookies. Its pages carry no analytics or tracking scripts, and load no scripts or fonts from anyone else. The network that delivers the pages counts requests, as every web host does.

On a phone, if you close the green Broody bar, your browser remembers that until you close the tab. That note stays on your device.

Links to Broody carry a tag in the address, so that Broody can tell a visit came from eggsbay, and from which page and link. What happens to your data once you are on Broody is set out in Broody's privacy policy.
